Fees and tribute

Every trade on a curve pays 1.25% in the house token, split between Meteora, the creator and the house, and the house's share becomes tribute.

3.1The curve fee

The curve charges 1.25% per trade, pump.fun's own rate. Meteora takes 20% of the fee, and the rest is split evenly between the creator and the house vault. After graduation the pool charges 1% per trade.

3.2The opening fee

Each curve opens at 25% and falls to 1.25% over its first 60 seconds on an exponential schedule. The opening fee is split like the base fee, so the house's part of what snipers pay becomes tribute.

The creator's own first buy, made in the transaction that creates the launch, pays the base rate of 1.25%.

3.3Collected in the house token

Every fee is collected in the house token, on the curve and in the pool. The house's share is burned as it is, with no swap in between.

For example, a buy worth 1 SOL after the opening seconds pays 0.0125 SOL worth of house token in fees: 0.0025 to Meteora, 0.005 to the creator and 0.005 to the house vault.

3.4Tribute

Tribute is the house's share of every fee, burned in the house token. It runs in two permissionless steps that anyone can call. Tribute's keeper calls them for every house and pays only the transaction fee.

  1. harvestClaims the vault's curve fees from DBC pools and its locked positions' fees from DAMM v2 pools.
  2. tributeSends the protocol share to the protocol PDA and burns the rest of the house token.

The tribute step sends the protocol share, set in the Protocol account, to the protocol PDA and burns the rest. A reserve-mint house (SOL, USDC, USDT and USD1) has no token worth burning, so its whole house share goes to the protocol PDA.

3.5The vault's two ways out

A house vault has exactly two ways out: the burn and the protocol share's transfer to the protocol PDA, an account no key signs for. Its locked pool positions can't be withdrawn.

Every unit a house earns is either burned in its token or held for the protocol. Nobody can redirect a house's tribute, the operator included.
